mts3000 TBM Systems

mts Perforator offers individual segment lining machines (TBMs) for diameter up to ID4000mm.

Machines designed and developed by mts Perforator are so called „full-face machines“  means that the soil is excavated  throughout the entire bore diameter.

mts3000EPB - Eearth Pressure Balance TBM

EPB shields are used in soft, unstable binding grounds, cohesive as well as incohesive soils with high clay or silt content, with less than 7 bar of water pressure. Spoil transport by muck train or tunnel conveyor allows cost efficient operation.

mts3000S - Slurry TBM

Slurry Shields are for multi-layered, complex geologies, particularly those with a high water level. Equipped with mtsSlurryTec and Crusher Cone our Slurry TBMs gives our customer new oppurtunities for segment lining projects. Minimization of risks of overexcavation and optimization of penetration rates.

mts3000HR - Hard Rock TBM

Our single shield hard rock TBMs can be used in fractured and unfractured rock. In stable gound conditions the machine is equipped with a gripper station to grip against the tunnel wall to advance forward. In fractured rock the machine erects concrete segments to support the unstable tunnel wall. The central driven version is equipped with a crusher cone in the cutterhead, therefor the treatment of the rock is devided into 2 steps, increase of penetration rates and preservation of the cutting tools are the results.

Hybrid TBM

This machine connects the advantages of Pipe jacking with those of Segment lining.
Having the possibility to start with pipe jacking and then switch over to Segment lining, enables fast and cost-efficient work while Pipe jacking and by switching to Segment lining guarantees the completion of the tunnel. Risks of of getting stuck are no longer existent. The segment lining modul is also available as upgrade for mts2000 pipe jacking machines.
